In the Saristal village of Lormi in India's Chhattisgarh province, local farmers have found a newborn girl in a field nestled with a litter of puppies. Surprisingly, the baby was perfectly healthy. The puppies have helped her survive cold night, though it might have had a sad end.
Peasants heard a baby crying and went to check what was going on
"At 11 in the morning, we saw that there is a newborn baby girl who was crying and lying alongside puppies in our village. We panicked and informed the health department before the newborn was taken to the hospital for further check-up," the peasants relate.
After examination the paramedics stated that the girl was phenomenally lucky since she still had her umbilical cord attached and no one took care of her. Apparently, the mother dog found her, and brought her to her litter, where the baby girl managed to survive a very cold night in the warmth of the pups.
The girl was found just in time, because even with this protection she was in danger
The most amazing thing in this story is that the girl survived. That area is full of stray dogs, and most of them are extremely vicious. Since numerous attacks of stray dogs on people and livestock have been registered in the area, and the baby girl's unidentified mother is supposed to have deliberately left the child to die. Fortunately, a real miracle happened that made news in the Indian media.
The girl was named Akanksha
So miracles do happen.
