Recently an emaciated and sad mama dog with a tiny puppy have been spotted by the roadside in a Northern Canadian town. The canine family was watching cars passing by, but no one pulled over.
Finally, fortune smiled on the mama dog. They were spotted by a Good Samaritan and taken to a local animal shelter.
The black Setter mix mama dog was named Elvira. She turned out to be a very caring mommy who never left her puppy's side, regularly nursed and cleaned the baby. The volunteers couldn't help admiring how intelligent, quiet, and understanding this dog was. No wonder she was quickly adopted!
Elvira quickly got used to living indoors and did not cause any trouble to her owners. They were never tired of thanking the shelter for such a wonderful companion!
It took Elvira's daughter, the puppy named Yuppie, a little bit longer to find a forever home. She was curious about everything around her, whether it was a power cord forgotten by someone, a charger, or a bulb dropped by accident.
Yuppie was growing up, enjoying life and becoming more and more mischievous. She was always taken for a walk on a leash which she usually pulled eager for an adventure and meeting new people, so she was a restless dog and needed someone to keep an eye on her!

After 18 months spent in the shelter Yuppie had not lost any of her energy and agility. Another of her bright traits was the character of the true leader. Yuppie liked to be the first everywhere and have things in her own way. However, these flaws were outweighed by her inexplicable charm and charisma that won everyone around her.
Of course, not everyone could handle such a dog of character, but Yuppie, after months of searching, found her humans! Now she lives in a family with kids, where she has many opportunities to let her energy and playfulness out.
That's how both mom Elvira and her baby Yuppie became family dogs. They only found their happiness thanks to the help of concerned people.
Thank you, kind people, for giving these pooches a chance at a better life!
